Comics, cartoons, roleplaying games and fantasy at the Leipzig Book Fair
|
|
Comics in Leipzig is definitely the place to be for all fans of comics. Also covering manga, anime, role-playing and fantasy, it's one of the leading events of its kind anywhere in Europe. In recent years, dozens of the comic and fantasy realms along with stars from Germany and Asia have been on hand to sign their works. Particularly popular events include cosplay and a special cosplay competition, role-playing demonstrations, go tournaments in the GO Games Area, the Japanese Tea Garden, the Anime Cinema, the Dojinshi Market, a Signing Area, the area of Jap@Com with presentations by German animé and manga clubs and a host of other events devoted to Japanese culture.
For now 11 years the Leipzig book fair has with partners initiated the probably biggest young sign competition "MANGA TALENTS", these, year this one already in July is written out newly again.
